Kurow Rugby Club
Kurow Rugby Club was established in 1898 and has a rich history, as well as being Richie McCaw's home club.
It's a part of the North Otago region, and currently plays against five other clubs in the North Otago region for the local Citizens Shield. The club is strongly supported by adult and school aged players.
North Otago are past winners of the Meads and Lochore Cups in the New Zealand wide Heartland competition. In 2011 North Otago lost in the semi-final to East Coast but continues to be a strong stepping stone in to the ITM Cup.
