Waitaki Multicultural Council

The Waitaki Multicultural Council aims to promote cultural diversity and unity, and to help newcomers settle in their community. They provide support for new migrants by:

• hosting a monthly social gathering and potluck meal of ethnic food
• holding monthly meetings with speakers from different agencies or cultures
• participating in citizenship ceremonies
• welcoming new citizens
• providing links and information about the community
• holding a women's group to provide support and networking
