Associate Professor Dr Tony Merriman of Otago University will give a health talk at St Alban's Anglican Church in Kurow. Starting at 7.30pm. Tony is a researcher of genes, working in the field of gout, arthritis and associated health problems.

Learn how to build your own home pizza oven at the Waitaki Community Gardens on Saturday September 20th & 27th 10am-3pm. The workshop will be held over 2 days, and includes experiential learning and a take-home manual to give you step-by-step instructions on how to build a pizza oven at home with ease.

On Friday 10 October there will be a working bee to shift all the books and furniture out of the library. We will require four
able bodied people who can lift
a banana box of books. If you could help us please phone Helen at school on 03 4360 660.
We ask that library users get out plenty of books before this day as the library will be closed for refurbishment until Tues 28 October.
Work will begin at 10am and should be completed by 5pm.
The Waitaki Community Gardens in collaboration with Aoraki Polytech is offering a FREE basic gardening course in October & November. The course will cover plant propagation, soil health & ground preparation, garden maintenance, harvesting the goods, and cooking. Click header for more information.

The St John Waitaki Area Committee based in Kurow are this year celebrating 50 years of dedicated volunteering by locals looking after the community from Duntroon/Danseys Pass, up the Hakataramea Valley and Cattle Creek, and inland as far as the Lindis Pass (and sometimes through to Mt Cook and Waimate...
