Feedback received from the public during the Waitaki lakes camping ground consultation is being considered by Council before a final decision is made as to whether camping ground leases will be leased to private providers or continue to be managed by Council (through contractors).

Waitaki St John area committee are wanting to start a Youth Programme for children in the Waitaki Valley. We need a small but important commitment from anyone willing to be involved. You dont need to be a parent. The Youth Programme is for children between the ages of 69. The programme runs through the school terms and is a commitment of 1½ hours once a week.

9-23 December the Dansey's Pass Road will be closed to all traffic except 4-wheel-drives at the site where Bridge 66 was washed away by floods. This is to allow a new bridge to be built.
